Habits. Worry about the other shoe dropping.

I'm very much a creature of habit. Those habits are carrying me of late, including (but not limited to) things like:

  • Unusually steady hygiene
  • Cleaning up regularly
  • Breakfast options: 
    • Slice of whole wheat toast or whole wheat English muffin with light butter
    • Sometimes a two egg omelet with slice of American cheese
  • One lunch or dinner out: almost always a Chipotle bowl with brown rice
  • Options for one lunch or dinner in: 
    • Vegetarian chili with cheddar or mozzarella
    • Whole wheat pasta with mozzarella, tomato sauce.
    • Microwaved potato (sweet or Russet) with butter, crumbled bacon.
    • Grilled cheese with some kind of meat inside (light Spam or coldcut turkey) and soup on the side.


  • Sweet snacks as calorie limit allows. Usually a bottled frappuccino (190 cal) plus one of the following:
    • Dairy Queen small strawberry sundae (240 cal)
    • Candy bar (220-260 cal)
  • Walking 10k steps/day:
    • 30-40 minute walk in the early afternoon
    • Finishing the rest of my steps in the evening
    • Playing Hearthstone while I go

And more. This is great, but the downside is that it makes me more brittle. I've been privileged enough to work from home and not be taking classes lately, but as that shifts to more in-person work, and when classes start again in the fall, or when I travel, or ANYTHING, I immediately go into a danger zone.

Will have to plan as those days arise more.
