Building habits. The joy of Spam.


For now, this is what I'm using in my Habitica app:

  • Morning routine:

    • Get out of bed after my second alarm

    • Weigh in daily

    • Wash up

    • Take meds

  • Recharge mid-afternoon with a Hearthstone walk and (M-F) meds

  • Evening routine (wash dishes, teeth, clean cat litter)

  • Assorted daily tasks:

    • Eat lunch or dinner at home

    • Complete day within Noom calorie limit

    • Read Noom articles for 5-10 minutes

    • Complete daily step goals

    • Drink 40 oz. water


I'm currently sitting at 7,100 steps daily. On track to reach my cap of 10,000 steps/day in about two weeks, maybe a bit less if things go well. At that point I'll look to start building in strength workouts.

Strong past couple of days adhering to these habits. Eating at home more than usual and keeping things clean. Continuing to walk with Hearthstone after a minor lapse. I've gotten one of my surprise favorite foods, lite Spam, and tried using it more. Some cooking the past couple of days:

Pasta with marinara sauce and diced Spam. Brussel sprouts with soy sauce.

Baked potato for lunch with light butter and Spam.

Morning two egg omelet with one slice of American cheese.
