Drilling Down [250.0 lbs]
Desire for cleanliness.
I hit another rut. But one of the reasons for that rut means it's the best time to make a long-term escape from it. MY CLASS IS OVER! I take a Japanese class that's time-intensive, and I'd fallen behind in my work of late. That meant lots of poor sleep habits, little cooking at home, procrastination, and bad old habits.
I can breathe again. Start building good habits. First big habit I want to build that will support my goals: cleanliness. Intolerance of uncleanliness.
- Wash daily. Shave, brush, floss, rinse, just generally get comfortable being clean.
- Do laundry as my basket fills rather than procrastinating and waiting.
- As I use dishes, wash them. Don't wait days.
- Small vacuuming bits regularly as I notice parts of the home need it.
- Take out garbage and recycling as I see it fill up.
- Haircut as I notice it gets long.
The biggest thing here is that none of these things are about checklists. They are about a mindset, an identity. Let's try it.
