Types of reinforcement.
General Notes
Overate yesterday night. Nothing too terrible - some extra junk food that pushed me over my cap by a fair bit, but not a trademarked 4000 calorie binge. I was about to overreact to it by planning some new project or whatever, but no. I learned from yesterday's Noom articles about the highs and lows of motivation.
Ride it out. Keep going.

Daily Article Notes
Relevant notes from my daily set of Noom articles.
- Next, some things that impact motivation. Positive reinforcement (reward) increases the chance of repeating a thing and negative (punishment) decreases it.
- A while back, I read about the behavior chain. Trigger > Thought > Action > Consequence. Rewards impact the consequence.
- That's part of the value of this blog, actually. It serves as a positive reinforcement! It's an extra bonus reason for me to not give up, since I get to share more Subnautica with you all, and just flat out NOT GIVE UP on a blog like this.
- They also suggest shifting away from a removal mindset towards an addition mindset. I agree with this. I'm going to continue trying new recipes.
