Level 3: Walk Off [4/7/22 | 249.8 lbs]
Baseball is back to spur my walking. Mental health.
General Notes
BASEBALL RETURNS TODAY! I love watching the New York Mets. But importantly for this journey, I didn't just grow up watching them: I grew up listening to them on the radio. Baseball is a sport that's unusually well-suited to radio, in my opinion.
This means is that as of today, I can start building some of my daily walking around Mets games, which happen 5-6 days most weeks. Walk and listen for a few innings.
Unrelated, but my breakfast cooking has been improving! Here's a mozzarella omelet I made today and a fried egg on lightly butter toast from yesterday:
Sketching today's meals
- B: Two egg omelet with low-fat mozzarella.
- L: Chipotle brown rice bowl with steak, vegetables, salsa, guacamole.
- D: Buffalo chicken rice bowl.

Daily Article Notes
Relevant notes from my daily set of Noom articles.
- Noom suggests investing in mental health, and I agree with this. Things have gotten better since dealing with diagnoses of ADHD and depression, both through meds (that I'm trying to take regularly) and counseling.
- Journaling helps too. This blog provides an outlet to talk about things that excite me, vent about frustrations, and externalize thoughts that haunt me.
- It also suggests social connections, which I agree help. Going to reach out to a friend to see if they want to hang today in Zoom.
- Another tip: "just show up." Yes. Another value of this project. Even when a day's not going well, the incentive to play some more Subnautica and write more here is a huge barrier to just giving up entirely.
