Swaps. A good day.

Daily Article Notes

Relevant notes from my daily set of Noom articles.
  • Tastes for sweet, salty, and savory foods are acquired. Hopefully that means I can start to wean off my major sweet tooth.
  • This article recommends swapping out certain foods, though this'll take a lot of experimentation. I know from experience how unsatisfying many of these proposed swaps can be - for instance, a bowl of berries does NOT fill the craving for Skittles.
  • On the other hand, I HAVE found some decent substitutes already. When I get the urge to binge on candy, a bottled frappuccino scratches that itch at far fewer calories. Keep trying stuff.
  • Social triggers are apparently common, but not a huge deal for me given that I'm not in a ton of social situations.

General Notes

Yesterday was my best day in a long time. Took meds. Washed and shaved. Worked with focus in the day, studied well in the evening. Ate well. Walked. Drank water.

The biggest overall improvement though was more philosophical: dealt with things as they came up. Didn't procrastinate. It was AMAZING. Just felt... strangely clean.

Let's do that more.

Sketching today's meals

  • B: Fried egg with lightly buttered toast.
  • L: Chipotle brown rice bowl with steak, vegetables, guacamole.
  • D: Three chicken tenders, toast slice, Cane's sauce.
