Level 1: Treasure Hunt [3/24/22 | 250.2 lbs]
Successful adjustments. Planning for the unexpected.
No food pics so have this cat in my lap.
General Notes
Yesterday felt unusually successful. Not because I adhered to everything perfectly, but rather because I went off-plan without binging.
- Lunch
- PLAN: Chipotle healthy burrito bowl.
- PROBLEM: I went there and it was closed. (Sometimes they open late randomly due to staffing issues.)
- WORST CASE RESPONSE: Binging on junk food from the gas station.
- ACTUAL RESPONSE: Went to a Chinese place nearby and got shrimp/vegetables, chicken, and brown rice, approximating the calories of my planned meal.
- Dinner/After Dinner
- PLAN: Get a small fried chicken meal. Three tenders, toast, one cup of sauce.
- PROBLEM: I accidentally ordered fries instead of toast. It actually was an accident, weird as that sounds. I go here often enough that I just said that old order, and fries are huge and calorically heavy.
- WORST CASE RESPONSE: Say "it's too late, today is a lost cause, might as well finish this up with something huge and sweet like a giant bag of candy for an extra 1000 calories."
- ACTUAL RESPONSE: Finished up with something small and sweet. A small hot chocolate with skim milk, no whipped cream or toppings. (~190 calories)
Managed to complete the day without feeling like trash, even as I went (a bit) over my calorie cap and had to adjust on the fly.
Sketching today's meals:
- Breakfast: Cherry/strawberry smoothie with skim milk. (220 cal)
- Lunch: Chipotle bowl with brown rice, half steak/half chicken, veggies, salsa, guacamole. (620 cal)
- Snack: Bottled frappuccino. (200 cal)
- Dinner: Salad with chicken, vegetables, garlic sauce. (500 cal)
- Total: 1,540 cal
